MITX - Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange

BOSTON, April 19, 2010-- Sapient today announced it is hosting an exciting photography exhibit at its corporate headquarters at 131 Dartmouth Street in Boston, with an artist reception taking place on April 21st from 4:30 to 6:00 PM.  The exhibit, entitled "Imaginary Landscapes," is by area photographer Erik Hansen.  The public is welcome to attend.

Hansen describes the exhibit: "Somewhere outside of ordinary time and space, where history is transformed into myth and psychological questions join futuristic landscapes, lies the mysterious world of Imaginary Timescapes. Stories emerge from re-imagined memories and dreams, experiences and impressions, and linger on the feelings left behind."

Hansen has been pursuing the art of photography for thirty years in the commercial world where he has acquired the skills that he now applies to his fine art. His formal training included history, art history and studio art at Rutgers University. Upon graduation, he started experimenting with a wide range of personal images using natural light, including: portraiture, landscapes, and self-assigned projects with a strong editorial content. After a few years assisting in Manhattan, he moved to California where his interest in editorial work led to freelance assignments. Returning to Massachusetts, he worked at various studios and learned studio lighting techniques, concentrating on retail products and advertising.  His photography studio is located in Maynard, Mass. at 100 Acton Street.  For further information, visit: http://www.erikhansenphotography.com.

The exhibit is part of an ongoing program to highlight the work of local artists at Sapient's Boston office.
