1. In a nutshell, what is Spring Partners all about?
Spring Partners is dedicated to using the power of the Web to simplify people’s lives. Our first product, springpad, (http://www.springpadit.com/) is a free set of online notebooks that help people organize, share and tackle life’s tasks and events. springpad also makes it easy for people to interact and personalize expert insight and advice from bloggers and online publishers.

2. How was Spring Partners founded and what inspired its creation?
Spring Partners was co-founded in January, 2008 by three senior executives from Third Screen Media, a mobile advertising firm sold to AOL in May, 2007. The inspiration for springpad was twofold
-to create software that is easy-to-use and customize - both for people that know exactly how they want to organize and manage their lives, as well as for those who want some help getting started
-to help people organize and use the information and advice they find on the Web to simplify life management

3. What makes Spring Partners different than other companies in your Marketspace?
springpad is designed to overcome many of the things that are annoying and time-consuming about personal productivity solutions – from starting with a blank page wondering how to approach a project to collecting, entering, organizing and re-using information. Two other differentiators are that we don’t force anyone down a particular path or methodology; and we’ve also automated access to many of the Web’s most popular services.

4. What has been Spring Partners greatest accomplishment in 2008?
Going from three people and a concept in January 2008 to a great team and our open beta product launch in nine months.

5. What is the biggest challenge you face in the marketplace today?
Cost-effectively creating awareness and trial for springpad, especially in the current economic environment that demands close-to-instantaneous return on investment (be it time or money).

6. Why are you a MITX member?
MITX is a broad and deep community of Internet business and marketing professionals and service providers that’s perfectly aligned with springpad’s target market of busy young professionals.
